Ensenada's Coastline

Popular Beaches

Playa San Miguel

One of Ensenada's most accessible beaches, popular with families and surfers alike. Sandy bottom, moderate waves, and nearby restaurants and shops. About 10 minutes north of downtown.

Good for: Swimming, surfing, bodyboarding, beach walks

Stacks (San Miguel Point)

A world-renowned surf break known for consistent waves and dramatic sea stacks. Popular with experienced surfers. Rocky entry — reef booties recommended.

Good for: Surfing (intermediate-advanced), photography, sunset watching

Playa El Cipres

A long, wide sandy beach south of the port area. Family-friendly with calm waters, food vendors, and parking. Gets busy on weekends and holidays.

Playa Hermosa

A beautiful cove beach near the Hotel Coral. Protected waters make it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Rocky edges are great for tide pooling at low tide.

La Jolla Beach (Rosarito–Ensenada Corridor)

Between Rosarito and Ensenada on the scenic coastal highway. Wide sand, camping areas, and uncrowded surf. A local favorite for weekend getaways.
